History of Market Immersion
On March 4th, 2009, Leslie O’Neill formed Internet Marketing Social Media of Overland Park (IMSMOP). The primary goal was to create an energetic and positive learning experiences alongside other business owners, discovering and sharing ways to use the latest social media marketing strategies.
This was a fresh approach to connecting business owners and creating a learning environment for sharing innovative ideas, one that would incorporate a diversity of quality sources and resources.
Leslie worked diligently to grow the group from its humble Overland Park roots,and expanded into the greater Kansas City Metropolitan Area. The mission was to establish a circle of unity within which businesses would assist and support one another while leveraging their marketing initiatives through social media. The group was renamed Internet Marketing & Social Media of Kansas City (IMSMKC), but its focus was already expanding nationally.
On March 5, 2012, the group made its final business name change, to one both more fitting and easy to remember: “Market Immersion.”
Market Immersion has blossomed from an “idea” into a very exciting business concept that empowers all business types and sizes.”
